Chelsea Green was brought back to WWE at the 2023 Royal Rumble, and her return to television was followed by new character. Her Karen gimmick is gaining attention on television, and online, but she wasn’t seen this week on television. There is a good reason for that absence.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Chelsea Green was kept off WWE television this week because she couldn’t travel to Canada. The Canadian is actually “landlocked” until her green card situation is figured out.

One WWE talent wasn’t allowed to make it to WWE Raw, but they did a good job covering for it.

On the February 20 episode of WWE Raw, WWE did an angle where Chelsea Green was sent to Ottawa, Illinois instead of Ottawa, Canada. This was to help bridge the gap until they were out of Canada, as the Canadian Green is currently landlocked and unable to return to Canada. As of now, Chelsea is still waiting for her Green card, and then will be able to return. Green has been landlocked for months, dating back to last Summer.

We will have to see if Chelsea Green returns to WWE television once they get back to the United States. Odds are her plans as a Karen, and thorn in Adam Pearce’s side, will continue right on track. After all, she was still able to annoy Pearce this week via a phone call, and she didn’t even need to show up.
