The pro wrestling landscape is always changing, and that includes huge names switching companies. Kota Ibushi is no longer contractually bound to NJPW, and there is certainly interest in his services.

Dark Puroresu Flowsion tweeted out to give fans an update on Kota Ibushi. They just spoke to the former NJPW star, and it seems that AEW is very much still on the table. While Tony Khan’s company is interested in Ibushi, WWE is not ruled out either.

Just spoke with Kota Ibushi. He has HIGH interest in AEW but said he would not rule out WWE currently “Of course, I’m interested in it. I’m good at producing players & I’ve created stars, so I don’t think there’s anyone who can control me even in that frame. I live so freely”

WWE is operated by Triple H now, someone who appreciates what Kota Ibushi brings to the table. Only time will tell if they can make something work, but the possibilities are endless since Ibushi is now a free agent.

Kota Ibushi isn’t the only NJPW talent who might venture to WWE. Jay White also wants to make a move back to the United States, and that could spell a WWE debut, or some more work with AEW.
