Grayson Waller Accuses Shawn Michaels Of Favoring Bron Breakker

The current regime of WWE NXT is overlooked nowadays by the WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. The Heartbreak Kid uses his years of experience inside the squared circle to develop future stars of the global juggernaut. However, he recently added a last-minute stipulation to the main event match between Grayson Waller and Bron Breaker at this past week’s Vengeance Day pay-per-view, only to face a big allegation by Waller.

The headliner match at Vengeance Day saw NXT champion Bron Breakker defend his title against the challenger, Grayson Waller. The match was contested inside a steel cage match, with the winner decided only via pinfall or submission.

Shawn Michaels scrapping the third route of winning the match, i.e escaping the cage was questioned by Grayson Waller. He recently posted on Twitter, accusing Michaels of favoring Bron Breakker which led to him retaining his championship at the event.

“Anyone else find it interesting that @ShawnMichaels introduced a stipulation, mere hours before the match, that gave Bron a massive advantage on Saturday? Guess it pays to be mates with HBK 🤭#WWENXT.”

The rivalry between these two top NXT stars began when Grayson Waller won the
first-ever Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT: Deadline in December 2022. The victory earned Waller an opportunity to face Bron Breakker for the NXT championship at NXT: New Year’s Evil.

However, the match at the event saw Grayson Waller falling out of the ring, due to the middle rope breaking off while he was atop to perform a move. He wasn’t able to make it back to the ring and lost the bout via count out. This led to Shawn Michaels announcing the rematch for Vengeance Day inside a steel cage.

The reason behind Shawn Michaels’ decision to make the last-minute change in the Steel cage match stipulation is currently unknown. However, Waller is hell-bent on thinking that the Showstopper has his share of favorites and he would resort to underhanded tactics to make sure they remain at the top.
