Rick Boogs honed his craft in Triple H’s version of NXT, where he squared off against the likes of Akira Tozawa, Roderick Strong, Tyler Bate, and Drew Gulak. He formed an alliance with Shinsuke Nakamura in May 2021. That partnership continued until his unfortunate injury at WrestleMania 37. Tonight, Boogs made his comeback.

Rick Boogs returned from injury on the January 30, 2023, edition of Monday Night RAW. For those wondering, tonight’s episode also marked the in-ring return of Rick Boogs as he squared off against The Miz. We had already reported the return of Rick Boogs as a spoiler, which you can read here.

Rick Boogs last competed at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022, when he partnered with Shinsuke Nakamura to take on The Usos for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship. During the match, Boogs suffered torn quadriceps/patellar tendon injury.

He went under the knife and spent the following months in rehab. It remains to be see if Rick Boogs will reunite with Shinsuke Nakamura or get his solo run under the Triple H regime. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more from the world of pro wrestling.
