Rick Boogs Has Successful Surgery After WrestleMania Injury

Rick Boogs was previously known as Eric Bugenhagen in WWE’s NXT brand. However, he was then called up to the main roster as he made his debut on Friday Night Smackdown back in May last year. He immediately started being paired with Shinsuke Nakamura as Rick Boogs. Now he’s on he shelf, but there is good news that his surgery was a success.

Rick Boogs reportedly injured his patellar tendon during his WrestleMania 38 match, which shocked fans. It was said that due to his injury, Boogs needed surgery to recover fully.

According to PW Insider, Rick Boogs underwent successful surgery to repair his quad tear earlier this week in Birmingham, Alabama. It was said that Boogs will be leaving Birmingham this weekend to return home and start rehabbing.

We are told Boogs is slated to leave Birmingham this weekend to return home and begin the process of healing and rehabbing the injury.

Rick Boogs is also expected to miss a couple of months of in-ring time due to his injury. We will have to wait and see what the company will have planned for Boogs once he returns.
