Sami Zayn has proven track record of success in WWE, and he has the ability to make any gimmick given to him work. He has consistently shown the ability to elevate himself and his character, particularly with his current portrayal on Friday Night Smackdown. In fact, even Chris Jericho believes Sami Zayn should main event WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns.

Sami Zayn’s storyline with The Bloodline began several months ago, and it has quickly developed into one of the most complex and well-crafted storylines in recent years. The storyline has received praise from many, including legendary wrestling commentator Jim Cornette, who publicly commended Zayn’s performance, which was unexpected by Zayn himself.

They were featured on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, where a trial for Sami Zayn was booked. In fact, Sami Zayn was ultimately deemed as not guilty in the segment.

While speaking with the Daily Star, Chris Jericho noted that if he was in charge of creative, he would have booked Sami Zayn vs Roman Reigns for the main event of WrestleMania 39 and would have Zayn go over Reigns.

“I don’t watch WWE just from a time standpoint, but I follow, and I think that story is awesome because it’s organic. They didn’t plan it to be that big.

Sami is the perfect example of an organic character that the fans made into a star, and I think it all started last year at WrestleMania with the Johnny Knoxville match at WrestleMania which was brilliant.

That’s when he finally became Sami Zayn, and if I was booking WWE, the main event of WrestleMania would be Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn and Sami goes over.

You can bring in Rock, you can put Cody in the position and bring in Austin, but much like Jericho and Owens, Sami and Roman is the story that’s been grown and built. The pay-off needs to be Sami winning. That’s what I would do.”

WWE never planned on making Sami Zayn superstar during the bloodline storyline. We will have to wait and see what will become of Sami Zayn in the coming weeks.
