Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler established themselves as one of the greatest tag teams in the last decade. Their time in professional wrestling has been nothing short of legendary. Following a very grueling schedule in 2022, FTR decided it was time for them to take some time off from pro wrestling. In the meantime, Tony Khan is still hopeful FTR will return to AEW.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler had arguably the best run of their career last year, as the duo won the ROH Tag Team Titles, AAA Tag Team Titles and the IWGP Tag Team Titles, carrying them around at the same time.

However, they would eventually drop all of their titles. FTR lost the ROH Tag Team Championships to The Briscoes at ROH Final Battle, lost the AAA Tag Team Champions to Dralistco & Dragon Lee at AAA Noche De Campeones, and lost the IWGP Tag Team Championships to Bishamon at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Right after that, Dax Harwood revealed that FTR will be taking time off from television for few months. While speaking on In The Kliq, AEW President Tony Khan made it clear that he is hopeful FTR will return to AEW.

“I do hope to see FTR back. They do need some time to recover from what was one of the most intense years of wrestling any team’s ever done — the schedule they went through, all the different places they worked.

So I think, for those guys, we wanna see them back in AEW and wanna see them heal up and come back at 100 percent. We’re really looking forward to that, hopefully. I think they’re a great team and would love to have them back.”

It remains to be seen how long it will take for FTR to make a comeback in the professional wrestling world. While they have already accomplished much in the industry, there is always room for new and exciting matchups.

FTR is most definitely in a very interesting position at the moment. Ringside News will provide more details on FTR’s status with AEW when it is available.
