CM Punk’s future in professional wrestling remains doubtful amidst reports of potential contract buyout. Punk is still suspended following the infamous backstage altercation with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks after AEW All Out. Over the years, Punk has rubbed many people the wrong way, and WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg is one of them.

On the latest episode of “Oh…You Didn’t Know,” Road Dogg continued his criticism of CM Punk. The WWE producer has been critical of the Second City Saint in recent weeks, and he didn’t miss the opportunity to vilify Punk on his podcast this time, either.

“The truth be told, and this ain’t an I told you so, but it keeps coming out like one and I apologize for that. I knew how this guy was from dealing with him personally, but it finally seems like other people have seen how he is too now and it’s like, oh, okay, so he’s not the second coming. He’s just a man and he’s kind of a-hole. I don’t know how else to say it.”

Road Dogg further compared his upcoming appearance at RAW 30 to the one he had had at RAW 25. Here’s hoping that it goes as smoothly.

“I think it is awesome and I can appreciate this one a little more because of where I’m at in my head and what chapter of my life I’m in and all that. It does mean a lot more to me now than it did five years ago.”

CM Punk was stripped of the AEW World Championship following that backstage fight. AEW President Tony Khan didn’t spare The Elite either, as Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were stripped of the AEW World Trios Titles on Dynamite after All Out. Punk, Ace Steel, The Elite, and some other names involved in the fight were all suspended following the pay-per-view. Ace Steel was later released from the company.

AEW has also removed CM Punk from the upcoming AEW: Fight Forever video game cover. As always, Tony Khan indirectly answered Punk’s status regarding the game including his overall status in the company.

CM Punk suffered a triceps injury during his AEW World Title match against Jon Moxley at All Out. He underwent surgery and is currently rehabbing. Fans continue to debate whether Punk will ever return to AEW.
