Update: Naomi has spoken out about this report, and she called it out for being false.

Original: Naomi and Sasha Banks turned a lot of heads when they walked out of WWE during the opening of a May episode of RAW. They didn’t like Vince McMahon’s booking, so they left. After their suspension, neither of them have returned to Vince McMahon’s company. It seems that Naomi gave up a lot to make this statement.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Naomi walked out of WWE with her contract nearing expiration. It was also noted that she was excited about re-signing with WWE, and her new deal was going to be the most she’d made in WWE up to that point.

Naomi’s contract close to expiring at the time of the walkout, but that both sides seemed excited to extend the deal. Specifically, Fightful was told that Naomi was likely headed for the biggest money contract of her career before things got derailed by the situation back in may that led to she and Sasha Banks walking out.

It was also noted that, “there were sources in the Fall who claimed that Trinity maintained positive contact with WWE.” They were not able to verify that note, but it seems that WWE is “confident” that The Glow will return.

One WWE higher up that we spoke to also claimed that there had been contact between the two sides, and that they’re “confident” Naomi will be in WWE again. That higher up did not provide a timetable.

The Royal Rumble is coming up on January 28th, so fans could very well see her again. Odds are WWE has surprises in store for fans at the Royal Rumble, so The Glow might turn the Alamodome into a huge disco on her way to the ring.

We will have to see when Naomi returns to WWE. It seems that the company expects to see her again. For that matter, many within WWE expect that Sasha Banks will come back after she is done with her world tour as Mercedes Mone.
