Jay Briscoe tragically died in an automobile accident on Tuesday. Since that terrible news broke, plenty of tributes have poured in. Now, Big E is adding his own tribute, and he also admitted that his own famous stable borrowed from the Briscoe Brothers.
The wrestling community is in state of shock and mourning with the news of Jay Briscoe’s passing. One half of the legendary Briscoe Brothers tag team passed away in a tragic car accident on Tuesday. He was only 38-years-old at the time of his passing. The wrestling world continues to come to terms with this loss.
The Briscoe Brothers ruled supreme in Ring Of Honor, being multi-time ROH Tag Team Champions. They won tag team gold in every promotion they were a part of as well. They inspired many tag teams, including The New Day.
Big E took to Twitter and paid a touching tribute to Jay Briscoe, as he made it clear he was absolutely blown away by the Briscoes’ performance in their trilogy series against FTR.
We certainly studied & “borrowed” from the Briscoe Brothers. They have left an indelible mark on tag team wrestling. I was blown away by the trilogy with FTR. My deepest condolences to Jay Briscoe’s loved ones.
