The news of Jay Briscoe’s passing was first shared by Tony Khan on social media. The AEW and ROH owner paid tribute to Jay in a heartfelt post. Khan also pledged his support for the Briscoe family in this time of grief.

WWE announced the news of Jay Briscoe’s passing on NXT tonight. Vic Joseph noted that the wrestling world witnessed a terrible loss. He offered his condolences to the Briscoe family as well.

The ROH Hall of Famer died in a fatal car collision in Laurel on Tuesday evening, according to Delaware State Police. The department didn’t reveal any names at the time of the report.
