WWE has a few members of their roster who are out of action due to injury. It seems that fans’ wait for one Superstar will be over soon enough.

Rick Boogs started his professional wrestling journey by debuting on the October 19th, 2019 episode of NXT in a singles match against Lars Sullivan. He didn’t see much airtime in NXT, but that changed when he made his main roster debut as Shinsuke Nakamura’s guitarist. He was recently sidelined due to severe injury. It looks like Boogs is about to make a massive comeback soon.

Rick Boogs suffered a serious injury at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022. He tore his quadricep and patellar tendon while teaming up with Shinsuke Nakamura to challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Boogs has now uploaded several videos of himself training for his return to the ring to YouTube.

In one video titled ‘Start of MASSIVE comeback,’ Rick Boogs performed some heavy deadlifts to the famous Rocky Balboa ‘Gonna Fly Now’ theme. In another, Boogs put his legs to use by jumping rope, pushing his car and doing other things.

Rick Boogs has always been in great shape, but it looks like he’ll be able to perform these leg exercises with the same intensity he does in the videos. It’s unclear when Boogs will return to the ring, but it appears he’ll want to show that he’s fighting fit soon.

As we noted, Rick Boogs wasn’t a prominent feature on NXT television, but he still received a call-up to the main roster where he formed duo with Shinsuke Nakamura. While he’s out on injury hiatus, Boogs is still shredding away on his guitar, no matter where he is.

It will be interesting to see when he returns from his injury. You can check out his YouTube injury update videos below. Keep an eye on Ringside News for the latest updates.
