Saraya is living the true comeback story with her resurgence in the wrestling world as an active competitor. The 30-year-old Superstar became a part of AEW last year in hopes of competing inside the squared circle. However, she recently disclosed that she was offered a similar deal by Triple H as well before her WWE exit.

The former WWE Divas Champion retired from in-ring competition back in 2018, due to serious neck issues. Saraya continued to serve in non-wrestling roles for WWE for the next four years until her departure from the company in July 2022. She came to AEW in September and returned to in-ring action against Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D at Full Gear 2022.

Saraya recently revealed that Triple H, who took over creative duties in July, offered her to return as an on-screen General Manager and even promised a potential opportunity to wrestle again in WWE. She spoke about this during an interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro.

“Man, I do love Hunter, he’s so fantastic. He was like, ‘Wait what happened?!’ I was like, ‘I dunno, they haven’t renewed my contract.’ He was like, ‘Oh my gosh! Well I didn’t know that, so I’m sorry!’ He was really fantastic. He did give me the opportunity to potentially be a GM again, and give me the opportunity to be like, ‘If you ever potentially want to wrestle again, I’ll give you that opportunity too.’ He was very open about any ideas that I had.”

Saraya is set to compete in her second AEW match, teaming up with Toni Storm to face the team of Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. Looking at her injury history, it looks like she will be wrestling a limited schedule only.
