Sasha Banks had the pro wrestling world eating out of her hand following her WWE walkout last year. It led to a lot of discussions as to where she would end up going next. Of course, Banks would debut in NJPW this week, as Mercedes Mone and took the pro wrestling world by storm. Now it seems Tommy Dreamer believes Mone will follow in Brock Lesnar’s footsteps following her debut.

Sasha Banks made her shocking debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17, where she debuted as ‘The CEO’ Mercedes Mone. She immediately went after KAIRI and made it clear she is coming for the IWGP Women’s Championship.

Mercedes Mone looked ready for action, and fans simply couldn’t get enough of her. While speaking on the recent Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer talked about Mone’s NJPW debut. Dreamer stated that he believes Mone will follow in Brock Lesnar’s footsteps.

“She changed the trajectory of her career, her life. She gets to do whatever the hell she wants to do. If she wants to wrestle, she doesn’t want to wrestle. It’s very, very cool that she’s doing this. If you look at people who have gone this route, Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar, and they all made themselves bigger stars by going somewhere else and are still in the industry pretty much doing what they want to do when they want to do it, as draws. She is still so young. So it’s whether she does this for the next five years. She can literally go back to WWE if she wanted to and be like, hey, I want to do this and this and this. And if not, cool, I’ll just keep on doing what I want to do, right?”

For those who don’t know, Brock Lesnar had a successful stint in NJPW following his initial WWE departure, after which he ventured into the UFC. Mone is also set for huge title match next month, so we’ll have to see how she will fare in her NJPW debut match.
