Sasha Banks had the pro wrestling world talking after she walked out on an episode of WWE RAW last year. Following that incident, Banks ended up engaged in a variety of projects outside of pro wrestling. She was rumored to make her debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17 and after months of anticipation – that is exactly what happened. Banks laid out KAIRI and her first NJPW match was also made official.

Sasha Banks made her shocking debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17, where she debuted as ‘The CEO’ Mercedes Mone. She came out after KAIRI’s successful title defence against Tam Nakano.

After faking that she was going to handshake KAIRI, Mone took out KAIRI. Mone then promised that she would take the title from KAIRI at the upcoming February 18 NJPW Battle of the Valley show in San Jose, California.

Thus, her first official NJPW match was confirmed. The upcoming match will mark KAIRI and Mone’s second match together. Their previous encounter was during a July 2020 episode of Raw. We will have to wait and see whether Mercedes Mone will become the new IWGP Women’s Champion next month. Regardless, fans are certainly looking forward to seeing Mone in NJPW.
