Sasha Banks became a free agent after her WWE contract expired on New Year’s Eve. Tonight, The Boss finally made her first wrestling-related appearance since walking out with Naomi during the May 16, 2022, episode of Monday Night RAW.

Sasha Banks appeared under the new ring name Mercedes Mone during New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 event at the Tokyo Dome on January 4, 2023.

The former WWE star showed up to confront KAIRI following her successful IWGP Women’s Championship defense against Tam Nakano. Mercedes got a brand new entrance theme for her NJPW debut as well.

Mercedes Mone shook hands with KAIRI only to drop her with a new finishing move. She then cut a promo where she introduced herself to the Tokyo Dome crowd, calling herself the “CEO of the women’s division.”
