Cody Rhodes returned to WWE last year at WrestleMania 38, where he had one of the best entrances of the night. Rhodes was immediately made a huge deal, as he went on to have a solid match with Seth Rollins. Rhodes had a short, yet strong run in WWE until he had to take time off due to a torn pec. With Rhodes’ return being imminent, it seems WWE is not surprising fans with Rhodes’ return at the Royal Rumble.

Cody Rhodes has been absent from Hell In A Cell due to torn pectoral injury. Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins in the brutal match, where he worked the match while being injured.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE. It was noted that since WWE decided to release a vignette, hyping up Cody Rhodes’ return, it is evident WWE will not be surprising fans with a return at the Royal Rumble.

I had always figured that Cody Rhodes’ return would be a surprise at the Royal Rumble, but it’s absolutely not going to be, as they’re doing a multi-part series building up his return.

Cody Rhode is also the current favorite to win the Royal Rumble this year. We will have to wait and see whether The American Nightmare will be winning the match and book his ticket for WrestleMania 39. Fans would love to see him dethrone Roman Reigns at the Show of Shows.
