The Young Bucks are truly incomparable when it comes to the business side of the industry. They are also not everyone’s cup of tea for a good reason. They are no strangers to New Japan Pro Wrestling, as the duo have competed in Japan for many years, winning numerous tag team titles during their time there. It seems they were originally set for an appearance at Wrestle Kingdom 17.

At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17, Kenny Omega will return to New Japan for the first time in four years. He will be squaring off against Will Ospreay for the IWGP US Championship at the show.

While speaking on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Bucks were also scheduled to work the show at one point. Meltzer then added that “plans change.” It was not revealed in what capacity the Bucks were going to wrestle at the event, but they were going to wrestle there at some point.

The Bucks also wrestled their last match in New Japan at Wrestle Kingdom 13. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether The Young Bucks will ever return to NJPW in the future.
