Ric Flair Spotted Backstage At WWE SmackDown This Week

This week’s Friday Night SmackDown was the final show of 2022 and the company made sure to end the year with a bang. A number of former WWE superstars were present backstage to witness WWE bid farewell to 2022. It seems two celebrated WWE Hall of Famers were there to witness the show as well.

According to a report by PW Insider, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and close friend Gerald Brisco were spotted backstage on SmackDown last night. Last night’s SmackDown saw the fierce return of The Nature Boy’s daughter Charlotte Flair.

“Dave Bautista was also visiting backstage at last night’s SmackDown in Tampa.  We are told he came by for a “quick visit” and was not backstage for the majority of the taping.  As we noted earlier, Ric Flair and Gerald Brisco were also backstage.”

In recent memory, Ric Flair has been beefing with Eric Bischoff over events that took place during their time in WCW. There have been speculations that the heat between Flair and Bischoff is work.

In a return that shocked fans, Charlotte Flair beat Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Whether Flair attended Smackdown for reasons other than supporting his daughter’s return and championship win remains to be seen. For more updates, stay tuned to Ringside News.
