Don West was one of the defining voices of IMPACT Wrestling’s history. He recently passed away at the age of 59 after a long battle with brain lymphoma. The company shared a statement on the commentator’s passing.

The promotion shared a tweet in tribute to Don’s career. Don was not only a talented commentator, but he was also a beloved member of the IMPACT Wrestling family. His dedication to the company and to wrestling as a whole was unwavering.

IMPACT Wrestling is heartbroken to learn of the passing of Don West​, one of the defining voices of our 20 year history. Don’s enthusiasm and passion elevated every second he called and uplifted the spirits of everybody he crossed paths with. He will be dearly missed.

Impact Wrestling higher-up Scott D’Amore also sent out a touching tribute. “There will never be another like DW. Great salesman on commentary or at the Merch stand. Only man I know who could sell 5,000 @dlobrown75 bobbleheads AFTER D’Lo had left the company! So grateful for our friendship.”
