Kevin Owens is certainly one of the top Superstars in WWE and remains one of the most dependable stars in the company. He has faced numerous opponents throughout his career, and that also includes his iconic rivalry with John Cena. He will be teaming up with Cena soon, so Owens is already talking to him. In fact, he talked about what kind of conversation he has had with Cena in text.

While Kevin Owens used to be bitter rivals with John Cena, things are much better between them now. In fact, they are now more or less good friends. They have to be, ahead of their clash on SmackDown next week.

While speaking on the recent episode of the Cheap Heat podcast, Kevin Owens discussed his interactions with the 16x World Champion.

“You know, we text here and there but it’s really, I’m not gonna say that I use those emojis that he described. But it’s a lot like that. We just talk about silly stuff and just mention, ‘Hey remember when we had this match and this happened?’ Stuff like that. But we haven’t really discussed the upcoming SmackDown just yet.

We text here and there, but it’s really silly stuff. He’s very excited. In fact, the last text I got from him was ‘I LOVE WRESTLING’ in all caps, unprompted. I think it was like 1 a.m. too. I have no clue. I don’t really know where he was in the world.

Owens also wants a match against Roman Reigns in front of real fans. Owens is set to team up with John Cena and square off against Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a huge tag team match on the last episode of Smackdown this year. We’ll have to see who will end up winning the match.
