New Day shocked the pro wrestling world with their big win over Pretty Deadly at NXT Deadline. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston defeated Elton Prince and Kit Wilson for the NXT Tag Team Championship tonight.

New Day became the Triple Crown Champions in WWE’s tag team division after their big win. Shawn Michaels addressed the huge victory during the post-NXT Deadline scrum.
“The creative team putting it together which, I think, they did a fantastic job. And then, of course, New Day coming here adding a huge twist for us. They gave a big surprise by winning the NXT tag team titles which, obviously, has got to add to their unbelievably large resume, which I’m sure they’re giddy about as well.”
Saturday’s huge win made Kofi Kingston a record-setting 15-time tag team champion in WWE as well. The New Day member surpassed Booker T’s record of 14 tag team title wins in WCW and WWE.
