Jeff Hardy made his AEW debut on the March 9th episode of AEW Dynamite, saving Matt Hardy from an attack by the Andrade Family Office. Just when fans thought they would get to see The Hardy Boys again, Jeff Hardy was suspended from the company after he was arrested for a DUI.

Ever since then, Matt Hardy has been on his own. Following his suspension, Jeff Hardy entered a rehab facility, and since then there haven’t been many updates regarding this status. During his recent The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast. Hardy provided an update regarding Jeff by saying he is doing what he needs to.

“He’s basically been doing the same thing he’s been doing. He’s doing exactly what he needs to be doing to get where he needs to be in life. More or less, we’ve just got to get these legal issues behind him before we move forward, so that’s kind of where we’re at with Jeff, and we’re hoping that happens sooner rather than later,” said Matt Hardy.

This past week on AEW Dynamite, Matt Hardy participated in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale. During the match, Ethan Page and Matt Hardy started arguing and Matt also teased the return of his ‘Broken’ gimmick.

Following the show, tensions only seemed to rise in a digital exclusive where Page threatened to punish Private Party. Matt Hardy responded by snarling and showing glimpses of his broken character. During the same podcast episode, Hardy was asked bout the segment. He replied that he might end up broken again if Ethan Page continues down this path.

“I can say I am not a big fan of Ethan Page. I think he’s an asshole. Very creative guy. I do think he’s an asshole. It’s hard to call him an FI because he’s got a pretty good head on his shoulders, he just uses it for all the wrong things.

So yeah, there’s was a point in there where I snapped a little bit. It could have been a flash of Damascus popping out of my mortal vessel. I don’t know. If we continue along this same path, and he keeps punishing and doing things to Private Party that negatively affects their career, then I might end up ‘Broken ‘before it’s all said and done. I promise you, Ethan Page, if we end up going down this avenue, this is going to be something you will regret,” Matt Hardy said.

We certainly hope Jeff Hardy is doing well, and we hope to see him back in the ring soon. Meanwhile, we will have to wait and see if Matt Hardy is being ‘broken’ again in Jeff’s absence. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more updates on this story.
