Chris Jericho is truly a veteran in the pro wrestling business. Jericho has competed in various promotions all over the world in his career which has spanned more than 30 years. He is a very well-respected veteran and clearly, his experience is sorely needed in AEW – especially after all the drama surrounding All Out.

AEW had been involved in a lot of dramas in the past couple of months, mostly due to CM Punk going ballistic on Colt Caban and The Elite and the ensuing backstage brawl afterwards.

As previously reported, Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley conducted a talent meeting for wrestlers, managers, announcers and referees before AEW Dynamite, just before the event. Jericho was given props for stepping up amid all the backstage issues.

While speaking on his Talk Is Jericho podcast, Chris Jericho recalled the situation surrounding AEW All Out and the backstage brawl afterwards. Jericho recalled telling AEW talent that the sky wasn’t falling.

“We were fighting for our lives at that time. There was so much bad publicity on the company and kind of a black cloud, a haze over it, and dude, we were fighting back. We kind of took charge, [Jon Moxley] and Bryan and I and let them know the sky wasn’t falling, that things happen, and we gotta keep the show rolling.”

Things have calmed down since then, but CM Punk’s status in AEW remains a big question mark even now. Regardless, Chris Jericho will ensure AEW will remain afloat and that’s all that matters.
