Vince McMahon broke the internet earlier this year when he announced that he is retiring from the WWE. This news came as a shock to fans, who never expected him to step down as Chairman. However, he did step down and handed over the creative duties to his son-in-law, Triple H.

While Triple H as received rave reviews from the talent, there are still many who are upset that Vince McMahon is no longer running the show. One of those people is Ric Flair who said on his To Be The Man podcast that he is heartbroken Vince is no longer in WWE.

“ I’m heartbroken that he is not there anymore. I mean, I, I don’t know. I don’t, I don’t know the story. I don’t know any more than you do, but I just know that he lived and loved that business. I, and I, I hope that he is, you know, finding his way without it. Cuz when you put so much time into, I mean, I know how it’s still hard for me to walk away from it.”

During the same episode, Ric Flair also dismissed rumors that he was invited to The Royal Rumble. However, he stated that he will be signing autographs at the big Texas event.

“I mean, I still like to watch it. I still like to be part of it. I’m looking forward to. To the 30th and to the 30th anniversary. And by the way, of course social media screwed that up. I have not been invited to the rumble. I’m going, God, I’m going, I’m going to San Antonio to sign autographs separately with Fitterman The Day of the Rumble.”

As much as Triple H has been doing a fantastic job in his new role, it does seem strange that Vince isn’t the one calling the shots. It will be interesting to see if we will ever get to see Vince McMahon back in WWE again.
