William Regal’s WWE Return Has Been Spoken About For Months In NXT

William Regal truly loves the professional world and gave four decades to the industry. Regal was let go by WWE earlier this year, and he subsequently made his way to AEW. With Regal set to return to WWE soon, it seems his imminent comeback has been a major topic of discussion in NXT for months.

As previously reported, William Regal has officially left AEW. This was right after he was written off television on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamitem where MJF viciously attacked him.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez addressed the rumor that William Regal had an agreement with Tony Khan that if Triple H took control of WWE then he can go back to the company. He stated that the story has been going around for months in NXT.

This is a story that goes back in NXT months, and months ago. They believed that story whenever it first happened. Some don’t believe it, but it’s a story that’s been going around NXT for MONTHS.

William Regal is expected to begin his WWE run next year for backstage role. We will have to wait and see what WWE will have planned for Lord Regal, now that he will be working under Triple H again.
