Mandy Rose Says There Could Be A Story Behind Nikki Bella Match

Mandy Rose’s growth since her debut in WWE back in 2015 has been nothing short of astounding. She joined the company when the Women’s Revolution had just begun and now it seems she even commented on facing one of the mainstays of the Revolution back in the day. Now, Mandy Rose is enjoying the trail that Bella blazed, but you can never say never in pro wrestling.

Last week, Mandy Rose wore ring gear that made fans believe she paid tribute to Nikki Bella as well. Rose made it clear that the tribute was not intentional. In fact, she even doubled down on it recently.

While speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, the Toxic Attraction Leader was asked whether she would face Nikki Bella in a match somewhere down the line. She acknowledged that there is a story to the potential match.

“We have a little bit of similar backgrounds in the sense because she obviously had paved the way for us, definitely during the Divas time, the Women’s Revolution, and all that. So, I feel like there’s some kind of similarity with the both of us because she wants to have people respect her more and she did gain that respect over the years, but in the beginning, it wasn’t maybe so much like that. So, there is a little story there.”

Chris Jericho also suggested Mandy Rose to turn up her bad girl gimmick. It remains to be seen how Mandy Rose will continue to be booked as the NXT Women’s Champion in the coming weeks.
