Saraya was a household name during her time in WWE as Paige. Sadly, the current AEW star had some issues during her WWE tenure, but luckily Vince McMahon’s company was able to help her.

While appearing on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast, Saraya went into detail about how WWE got her a therapist for her drug and alcohol addiction that she developed at the time. Van Vliet praised her for being in a different phase in her life, as Saraya made it clear that she doesn’t want to badmouth her former employer.

“I never want to talk bad about WWE because they helped me so much throughout my career even when I was going through drugs and alcohol, they got me therapist and stuff like that. Like Bob, who is an in-house therapist for drugs and alcohol too, he would be on a call with me every day, and whenever I wanted he would drop what he did, and then he would get me a therapist for my area where I was living so WWE always helped me in that capacity and stuff you know, and I love my time with them, I really did, I loved it, you know, I don’t have a bad thing to say about them.”

Saraya praising WWE for helping her with her substance problems was great to her. Not many former superstars praise the company for various reasons, but the company is willing to help them with issues with substance abuse.

Saraya was just recently cleared to wrestle. Her first match in nearly five years will be against Dr. Britt Baker at Full Gear this Saturday. Hopefully, everything turns out well and Saraya never goes through another dark day in her life.
