Austin Theory finally cashed in his Money in the Banks briefcase this past Monday Night against Seth Rollins after the latter was destroyed by Bobby Lashley. Just when it looked like Theory would win the match, Bobby Lashley showed up and attacked Theory before sending him back into the ring.

This allowed Seth Rollins to pick up the pieces and retain his United States Championship. The whole ordeal left fans confused as to why Theory would cash in on a mid-card champion.

Even WWE commentator Corey Graves didn’t hold back as he expressed his outrage over Theory’s poor booking on his most recent episode of After The Bell podcast.

“I’m furious with how it all played out. I was furious as it was unfolding before our very eyes mere feet away from us as Theory strutted his way down. I think the world of Austin Theory and I truly believe what Mr. McMahon was saying six months ago. This guy could be the guy. I understand things change. Everything has changed, everything in our universe has changed in the last few months.”

Ringside News exclusively reported that this booking for Theory actually caused excitement backstage. Now, he doesn’t have the Money in the Bank briefcase, and he can finally get a fair treatment. He is also right in the thick of it for the US Title.

Austin Theory’s poor booking started immediately after Vince McMahon retired from the WWE. Prior to that, he was heavily pushed by the former WWE Chairman which resulted in him winning the United States Championship and Money in the Bank briefcase.
