Bodhi Hayward’s abrupt release from NXT shocked fans and peers alike. Bodhi Hayward was in the middle of major storyline with Chase U when he got his release papers handed to him. The former NXT star may have figured out his next move already.
Bodhi Hayward recently appeared on the Ten Count podcast to talk about his WWE stint, Chase U storyline, and much more. Hayward revealed he was contacted by a former NXT UK star following after his NXT release. Here are some highlights from the interview.
“I’ve been lucky enough that in the short time that I was introduced to the business and went from being ‘greener than a tree frog,’ as Fit Finlay might say, to kind of where I am now. I’ve made a lot of good connections. So, I’m gonna use those connections to try to figure out what is next for me.
“There’s talk of promotions all over the country, promotions internationally, going over to the UK. I was only over there for 10 days with NXT UK, but I was able to make great friends over there as well. From Trent Seven all the way down — yeah, he’s a great guy, and he contacted me right away. We stayed pretty close.”
As previously reported, Bodhi Hayward expected main roster callup before WWE release. We’ll have to wait to see what’s next in store for the former star pupil of Chase U.
