WWE RAW ended in surprising fashion this week as Austin Theory unsuccessfully cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase for the US Title. There is a reason why things went down like that, and it’s not bad news for Theory at all.

Ringside News was told that there is no heat on Austin Theory at all. Last night’s show actually caused “excitement from the producers.”

A tenured member of the creative team told us that “the producers all felt we were finally getting Theory in position.” Now, Theory is in a program with Seth Rollins, “who is quickly becoming RAW’s top babyface.” Bobby Lashley is also in the mix, and the Almighty “has been positioned as the one man who can beat up Brock Lesnar at will.”

We were assured by a writer with first-hand knowledge of this situation that, “Theory is better off today than he has been since Vince retired.” Last night’s episode of WWE RAW might have appeared as a device to write Austin Theory out of any storyline, but that is not the case.

He’s not written off. He’s right in the middle of it.

Austin Theory is no longer Mr. Money in the Bank, but he was also in a difficult position with that briefcase, especially with Roman Reigns reigning supreme over the entire company. Now WWE can place Theory in a position where he needs to be.
