Maxwell Jacob Friedman, also known as MJF in AEW, had his eyes on being in Hollywood for a while. Now “The Salt Of The Earth” has landed a role in a big film at last.

According to Deadline, MJF is joining the cast of A24’s The Iron Claw. The film is based on an upcoming pro wrestling biopic about the Von Erich family.

Other than MJF, he has joined a stacked cast in the film. Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Holt McCallany, Maura Tierney, and Lily James also stars in the film.

This will be the feature film debut of Friedman, as his on-screen appearances on All Elite Wrestling’s weekly televised programs. MJF is the only active wrestler involved in The Iron Claw as of this writing.

MJF was absent from television for months, and this could explain where he was. Obviously, this is not the kind of thing that he wanted to widely publicize, but MJF will be in this big pro wrestling movie.
