WWE Brought Duke Hudson Into RAW This Week For Main Event Taping

Last night’s Monday Night RAW was a special Halloween episode. Roman Reigns made an appearance. Otis and Matt Riddle engaged in Trick or Street Fight, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was handed up. Duke Hudson was also brought in to film a match for Main Event before the show started.

Kiana James, Duke Hudson, and Von Wagner, all from NXT, arrived to shoot matches for the Main Event. Together, Hudson and Wagner took on R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin, losing to them in the process. It was Wagner’s third Main Event bout in the previous month and Hudson’s second since the start of October.

Hudson has been around WWE for a while, and after making a comeback in July 2021 as Duke Hudson, he has defeated Bron Breakker and Grayson Waller. Wagner had a win over Kyle O’Reilly and has been prominently featured on “NXT.”

Kiana James won his match against Dana Brooke to tie the score on Main Event for the second week in a row. Under her current gimmick, James made her “NXT” debut in May and has already defeated opponents including Indi Hartwell and Thea Hail. The matches, which were recorded before WWE RAW, will be broadcast on Hulu on November 3.

There were props planned for the WWE Halloween Party that never materialized. On top of that, there was a food battle involving pumpkin pies, which never happened. Also, there were extras backstage who weren’t featured in the show. At least WWE moved a bit closer to some possible call-ups from NXT.
