It is not uncommon for celebrities to make appearances in the world of professional wrestling. With big names like Bad Bunny and Logan Paul having runs on WWE, another celebrity seeks to make waves in pro wrestling.
Back in February 2021, Bow Wow turned heads when he spoke about wanting to join WWE with intentions to train under WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. After almost 2 years he’s trying his luck with AEW.
Award-winning rap star Bow Wow took to social media to express his interest in joining the AEW roster. In a tweet to AEW president Tony Khan, Bow Wow asked for a “roster spot” on AEW.
“@TonyKhan after tour is over….. sign me up! I want a roster spot.”
The fact that Tony Khan liked that tweet should speak volumes. Only time will tell if AEW adds another celebrity appearance to their growing list.
Bow Wow, previously known as Lil Bow Wow, topped the rap charts with the hit single “Bow Wow (That’s My Name)” featuring Snoop Dogg, which earned him the Billboard Music Rap Single of the Year award in 2001. His success got him lead roles in Hollywood movies such as “Like Mike” (2002) and “Roll Bounce” (2005), both of which performed well at the box office. We’ll have to see if he can add AEW star to that list.
