Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey recently reunited on WWE SmackDown. Their friendship predates their arrival in the WWE, and the company has been teasing their on-screen alliance as of late. Baszler recently explained why she didn’t betray Rousey.
The Queen of Spades responded to a fan on Twitter on why she didn’t turn on Rousey and take her title. She said she doesn’t consider success of her friends a shadow.
I dunno what kind of friend YOU are, but I don’t consider the success of my friends a ‘shadow’.
Rousey and Baszler shared hug during a backstage segment after Rousey successfully defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship against a returning Emma. The Queen of Spades also congratulated her friend on the win. Baszler ended her alliance with Natalya, who interrupted their reunion.
Rousey has previously said, she wants WWE to give her good friend Shayna Baszler a much better push. Since Triple H took charge as the Chief Creative Officer, Baszler has been used more frequently than before.
Baszler and Rousey’s reunion has opened the possibility of the two forming an alliance moving forward. We will have to see what WWE has planned for their future. Stay tuned to Ringside News for more updates.
