Saraya made her All Elite Wrestling debut during AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. She parted ways with WWE earlier this year after her contract expired. Saraya recently admitted to nearly losing a huge project due to her drug use during her time with WWE.

Saraya revealed on the latest episode of “Talk Is Jericho” that a movie she was involved with was almost canceled due to her struggles with drug use. The former WWE wrestler said she was “completely crazy” at that time and even thought she was going to die.

It was gonna be stopped at one point because of me doing drugs and just being an absolute chaotic psychopath. It was not good press at all, and I was just like, completely crazy. So at one point they were scared that I was gonna die, first of all, but also they were just like, ‘This movie is just bad timing because she’s just not getting any better’ … I think it was [Mark] Carrano that reached out to me, and he was just like, ‘You need to get it together.’ He was like, ‘There’s gonna be a lot of things that are just gonna be thrown away.

Saraya was referring to the 2019 film, “Fighting with My Family,” produced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It is based on the 2012 documentary “The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family.” The movie starred Florence Pugh as Saraya.
