After an underwhelming stint with WWE, Eric Young returned to Impact Wrestling in 2020 for his second stint with the company. Upon his, Eric Young was immediately and became the Impact World Champion. Although Eric Young has been with Impact Wrestling for the last two years, it seems that he will remain with the company for a little bit longer.

According to Fightful Select, when Eric Young returned to Impact Wrestling, he signed a multi-year deal with the promotion. This saw him become one of the most prominent stars on the roster. He even appeared on TV through a knee injury.

His deal reportedly didn’t run out this Summer. Instead, Impact Wrestling extended his contract till the end of the year. This will keep him with the company through the end of 2022.

We’ve learned that the deal was extended at least through the end of 2022, which will keep the former champion with the company. In other contract news, Crazzy Steve also had signed a multi-year deal around that time, that we’ve confirmed is not up this year.”
