MJF Still Calls Cody Rhodes For Advice When He Needs It

Cody Rhodes left AEW back in February, and fans were certainly surprised by this. Prior to his exit, Rhodes was one of the highlights of AEW television. He helped put over numerous talents during his time there, including the likes of Sammy Guevara, Darby Allin, MJF and many more.

Rhodes was almost always booed in AEW during the tail end of his run in the company. Fans simply wanted him to turn heel no matter what, but that never happened. Rhodes also does not want to change thing about that.

While speaking to Sam Roberts on NotSam Wrestling, MJF talked about his relationship with Cody Rhodes. MJF revealed that he still gets advice from Cody Rhodes.

“I’ll still call him when I honestly need… rarely do I need advice – I mean, look at me. But I’ll call him because I respect the sh*t out of him. I’ll call him to get a second masterful opinion.”

Cody Rhodes hinted at making his return during the Royal Rumble match next year. No definite time frame has been given for his return to the ring. We will have to wait and see whether he does return during the event.
