Saraya shocked the world when she made her AEW debut at Dynamite Grand Slam confronting Britt Baker, Serena Deeb, and Jamie Hayter in the process. This also marked the first time that the former Divas Champion had appeared on a major since her WWE contract expired.
On the October 5th edition of AEW Dynamite, things got physical between Britt Baker and Saraya as the two women brawled in the ring. It was later reported that Saraya was cleared to compete by AEW Dr. Sampson.
However, given her medical history, on Twitter expressed concern over the former WWE star returning to the ring and event as far as accusing Dr. Michael Sampson of making “numerous unethical decisions.”
“Paige has been cleared by AEW DR Sampson. I hope it goes well But keep in mind, Paige wasnt cleared by 15 drs who evaluated her neck beforehand Sampson has been accused of numerous unethical decisions Hmm just seems fishy to me Ngl Im scared for Paige Just saying”
Saraya was quick to support the AEW doctor by tweeting one of Lawler’s previous where he thanked Dr. Sampson for saving his life with the following statement.
“I’ll bite on this because… Bro. You just straight up lying for clicks. Tf. 15 drs?!?! I learn something new about myself everyday on here. Insane. Hahahaha also you’re getting your Drs mixed up because Dr Sampson saves lives.”
Dr. Sampson is currently serving as the ringside doctor for AEW. Previously he worked in the same role for WWE. Dr. Sampson is best known for saving Jerry Lawler’s life after the latter suffered a heart attack live on RAW in 2012.
