Gunther was a top star in NXT UK until he outgrew the brand. The Ring General had a brief stint in NXT 2.0 as well. Vince McMahon was impressed by Gunther’s incredible work ethic and dedication to hard work and booked him to win the Intercontinental Championship.

For those not in know, Imperium reformed at Clash at the Castle when Giovanni Vinci joined Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser. Gunther successfully his title in a five-star classic against Sheamus that night in Cardiff, Wales. Gunther has strong words for today’s generation of pro wrestlers as well.

The image of a Pro Wrestler is in shambles.

Were the last of a dying breed.

IMPERIUM is forever!

Gunther will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus in what is expected to be another banger match during the season premiere of SmackDown this week. Check out the card right here.
