Paige was the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion and she transitioned that into a nice career on the main roster. Sadly, her in-ring career was cut short due to an injury before The Rock’s production company could even put out a biopic about her family.

Now, it seems that Paige is talking to AEW after she allowed her WWE contract to expire. Vince McMahon might have wanted to use Paige, but Tony Khan could have a much different opinion on the matter. For what it’s worth, Paige said in the past that she wasn’t interested in wrestling for AEW.

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, AEW has been in conversations with Paige about her coming in. It’s unknown exactly how far along things are in terms of interest, but there is something there.

Fightful Select learned this week via AEW sources that there had at least been conversations with Saraya this summer. We weren’t given additional context of that, beyond one person stating there stating that they believe WWE would also be interested in bringing her back considering the new regime. We were told that the conversations didn’t result in anything at the time, but anything could have changed since then.

AEW is presenting a big Grand Slam event tonight, and Paige could always be a big surprise for AEW. It would be quite a move to pull Saraya at this point, but we also have to wonder exactly how many bumps she has left in her at this point without another injury coming along.
