The AEW All Out media scrum ended in pure disaster after CM Punk went on a huge rant on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks. It was followed by a backstage brawl, where everyone involved was suspended. Now, more stories are coming out about those who were involved, and just how much tension there was behind the scenes.

Kenny Omega was suspended from AEW after his participation in the backstage brawl. He was also recently spotted in Japan during his suspension. Naturally, it had to do with gaming, but his trip is not associated with AEW.

Prior to all this, Omega was said to have told the AEW locker room during a meeting that he wouldn’t have hired most of them. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was confirmed that Omega did say that and there was a mixed reception to it.

Also surfacing was a story that at the company meeting called several weeks back that the part of the speech by Omega that was described as a pep talk and tough love but that some were irked by a line he said that eight out of ten of the people there he wouldn’t have hired.

He absolutely said the line. One version is that it was very clear when he said it he was being comedic, that he was looking at Will Ospreay when he said it, then said that he was just messing with Ospreay. Many laughed about it. Others took it as serious and there were those upset about it. Several told us it was something totally misinterpreted and taken out of context but others didn’t like it. He also did say that the overall energy and locker room at the start of the company was more positive, perhaps in trying to recreate that time and place with the current roster.

AEW also changed plans for Kenny Omega after his suspension. Kenny Omega also reunited with Kota Ibushi back in Japan. We will have to wait and see what the future holds for Omega, as his suspension might not end anytime soon.
