The AEW President announced during Dynamite tonight that he’s forced to vacate the AEW World and Trios Tag Team Championships because of what happened after All Out. It should be noted that CM Punk was injured at All Out, so his title would have needed to be vacated anyway.

Khan further stated AEW will crown new Trios Tag Team Team Championship tonight on Dynamite. That match will be Orange Cassidy and Best Friends versus Pac and the Lucha Brothers for the trios tag titles.

The fate of the AEW World Championship will be decided in a Grand Slam Tournament of Champions on the September 21st, 2022, edition of Dynamite. The winner of Hangman Adam Page and Bryan Danielson will face Chris Jericho in the first semifinals.

The winner of Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin, on the other hand, will square off with Jon Moxley in the second semifinals. The winners of the two semifinals will collide with each other to determine the new AEW World Champion on September 21st, 2022.
