The Elite and CM Punk and Ace Steel had a brawl backstage after All Out, and that brought bad press towards AEW’s way. Tony Khan responded by stripping The Elite and CM Punk of the trios tag and world titles, respectively, during Dynamite this week. That AEW World Title situation will be resolved soon enough.

Tony Khan announced a Grand Slam Tournament of Champions to determine the new AEW World Champion. The tournament officially kicked off with a match between Adam Page and Dynamite this week. The American Dragon managed to get the win with a roll-up.

Danielson will square off against the inaugural AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho, on Dynamite next week. Plus, the winner of the match between Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin will face Jon Moxley in the second semifinals of the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions next week on Dynamite.
