CM Punk debuted last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and instantly became one of their top stars. He worked with several top stars since then, especially against Adam Page. He also doesn’t appreciate what MJF did and how he went about things.

At AEW All Out, CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to become a 2-time AEW World Champion. Right after that, MJF came out and confronted Punk.

While speaking during the media scrum after the pay-per-view, CM Punk accused MJF of not wanting to be in AEW.

I think the fans want to see great wrestling matches. MJF is a top wrestler, CM Punk is the world champion and the top wrestler in the world. Having top contenders, whoever came out of this match, MJF sets up as a great challenger and now CM Punk is the world champion. MJF being back, a lot of fans were excited to see it. Anytime somebody makes a comeback, you get a big reaction. Am I worried about it, not really? We have one of the most charismatic, popular wrestlers in the world and fans can react how they want. This is a really compelling story, people were emotionally moved. People were calling that a great ending and I’m really glad people liked it. The fact is, it was a great match, it was a great ending, and now we’ll see what happens on Wednesday.

I’m tired of wrestling these pricks. I’m tired of wrestling these kids that think they know everything, but I’m not the boss. He won a number one contendership and I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it. I think Max is a supremely talented individual, but this goes to him and anybody else in the locker room that doesn’t want to be here; the grass is not greener on the other side. The grass is greener where you water it. Max likes to s**t where he eats instead of watering the grass. We’ll have to see how that goes,”

It’s unclear if CM Punk really doesn’t like MJF. He buried MJF in a way that you don’t normally do it. That being said, Punk’s burial of the Young Bucks, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Page was very real. Omega and the Bucks even threatened to walk out of the company over what the AEW World Champion said.

We will have to wait and see how AEW will book CM Punk and MJF’s feud now that he will be challenging Punk for the AEW World Championship. AEW might have a lot of things to worry about now.
