Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah’s First Comments After Winning WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

Sasha Banks and Naomi were stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship after they walked out during the May 16th, 2022, episode of Monday Night RAW. WWE announced Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament after that. The finals took place on this week’s RAW and it featured a shocking conclusion.

Raquel Rodriquez and Aliyah faced off against Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky in the Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals. In the end, Rodriguez and Aliyah won the match.

While speaking during a backstage interview with WWE Digital, Raquel Rodriquez and Aliyah talked about their huge win. They made it clear it was a career highlight for them.

“I mean, this means everything to us, both of us working so hard in NXT to get to RAW and SmackDown and then to main event RAW, and not only to main event RAW but to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles, this is incredible,” said Raquel

And coming here tonight, I truly didn’t believe that I deserved this match. But having you by my side, I 100% believe that I could’ve taken this so thank you so much,” said Aliyah.

WWE’s decision to have both of them win the titles was met with criticism as well. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah will be booked as the champions.
