Gunther Appears During NXT 2.0 This Week

Gunther, formerly known as Walter, was a top star on NXT UK until he outgrew the brand itself. Gunther squared off with other top stars including Ilja Dragunov, Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. The Austrian had a brief interaction with the current NXT UK Champion this week on NXT 2.0.

Gunther appeared during NXT 2.0 this week and told Tyler Bate to unify the NXT and NXT UK Championships at Worlds Collide this Sunday. Gunther reminded Bate he needed to bring back the old Tyler Bate against NXT Champion Bron Breakker this Sunday.

Tyler Bate received prep talk from longtime friend and rival Pete Dunne, currently known as Butch, as well. Butch asked Bate to unify the titles for NXY U.K., NXT Europe and the British Strong Style.

Both Gunther and Bate are set to compete in high stakes matches this weekend. Bate will take on Breakker in a title for title at Worlds Collide. Gunther, on the other hand, will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus at Clash at the Castle on September 3rd, Saturday.
