AEW strives to be an alternative to the product that WWE has been putting out for decades. Tony Khan’s company improved by leaps and bounds in key aspects, but not everything is as well as it should be.

One of the biggest differences between WWE and AEW is that AEW has a lot of violent content, which usually involves a lot of blood. The company has received criticism for the same, and they are also known to drop plenty of S-Bombs throughout their shows.

AEW is edgier as they allow more swearing on television. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW has been told to tone down the amount of swearing they have by Warner Bros Discovery.

Word has gotten to the promotion from WBD that they’d like the language toned down. As best we can tell, they have said nothing about the blood.

Bloody matches in AEW are likely here to stay and, for the most part, because it has turned out for the better. However, perhaps AEW will eventually tone down all their swearing soon. We’ll have to see if they are able to obey those new rules.

Do you think AEW has too much swearing? Sound off in the comments!
