WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash made a cameo in 2011 when he cost CM Punk the WWE Championship. The two had a bit of a promo battle the following night on RAW, in which Punk joked his sister texted him to say she “thought [Nash] was dead.”

During the latest episode of “Kliq this,” Nash revealed that he almost went into business for himself after Punk’s comment. However, his relationship with Triple H kept him from going off-script.

I have no verbiage. I’m told not to say anything. As soon as he says that, I’m thinking to myself, ‘Ok, I cost you the world title, and you come down and you come through the curtain and you stand 250 feet away from me? Like you don’t come down and attack me? You verbally attack me?’

I just thought to myself, after all these years in the business, that’s what you should do is be completely unprofessional, be a f***ing douchebag, never go in the Hall of Fame because you went into business for yourself. I was like , “F it, man, it’s only pro wrestling.’

There were reports last week of Punk going off-script to address Hangman Adam Page during the opening segment of last week’s AEW Dynamite. The reports stemmed from alleged backstage issues between the two men.
