WWE Releases Sam Gradwell From NXT UK Contract

WWE’s NXT UK brand is going through a lot of changes. Quite a few talent have been given their release so far. Sam Gradwell has now also been added to the list of departed talent.

Triple H stated that changing NXT UK to NXT Europe will bring a lot of variety and diversity to the product. NXT UK will be going on a hiatus for a few months after their Worlds Collide event next month.

According to a report by PW Insider, Sam Gradwell has been added to WWE.com’s alumni section as well. Gradwell made his debut during the July 28 NXT UK Tapings, losing against Danny Burch.

Gradwel returned for the following night’s NXT UK Tapings on July 29, once again teaming with Saxon Huxley in a tag match lost against team Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate). We’ll have to see what the future holds for Sam Gradwell next.

Sam Gradwell’s name joins plenty of other stars who lost their jobs in NXT UK. Flash Morgan Webster, Millie McKenzie, Primate, and more were released from the brand on August 18th.
